Minuteman Marketing Solutions has an in house mail shop. This is very important because we understand mail and all the details that are involved with it. We work very hard to pass on the largest postage discount to our customers. We also work on a consultative level to ensure that the graphic design of your project will meet postal regulations. This is extremely important because a piece that is not designed correctly may have to be reprinted. Also, there could be a much higher postage rate because we were not able to get all the discounts. Either way this can create major headaches and worse totally bust the budget of your marketing piece. There are several different ways you can mail your piece; it really depends on how fast you need it delivered. If you can be proactive and get your project in the mail 10 to 15 days ahead of time you can cut your postage rate by 40%. That can really add up when your sending several thousand mailers out. One piece of advice, when mailing a piece of direct mail you need to think in reverse. This means consult with your local post office or a mailing service professional before you design your piece. Once you have the guidelines make sure your designer has them and understands them. Remember, designers are creative and often don’t understand what the use of the project they are designing will be. This will really save you a lot of heartache and will limit project and mailing delays.
